Luna di Sera, situated within the stately Palazzo Parisio, is a relatively new evening-only bijoux restaurant. It has already won over the harshest local critics and will undoubtedly be an award winning venue setting standards across Malta. The contemporary Mediterranean-influenced cuisine is a joy to sample and the overall dining experience lives up to even the most special of occasions.
Covers are limited to 33 with a maximum of 8 to a table ensuring that the dining experience remains calm and exclusive. Guests can choose from the intimate candlelit interior – crisp white linen, crystal, silver and fine china - or dine al fresco in the floodlit gardens during the warmer months.
The restaurant’s decor is successfully transformed from its daytime guise, Caffé di Luna, into a chic intimate evening place through intelligent lighting. The exclusive service of this gem is reflected in the finer details such as menus with no prices for the ladies or appropriate glasses for the various wines available. The cuisine is decidedly contemporary with a Mediterranean influence making use of fresh local ingredients and garden-fresh herbs. All the food is prepared to order with great care and attention to detail.
Within the extensive and very inviting menu, there is no particular signature dish; a quick glance reveals a heady assortment of game, fish and fine selected produce. The Sweets are to die for – and there is an impressive 6-course Gourmet ‘Menu Degustazione’or an a la carte menu.
