The Mediterranean Conference Centre
The Mediterranean Conference Centre is a 16th-century building on the edge of Valletta, overlooking the Grand Harbour. It was the Sacra Infermeria of the Order of St John.
For more than two centuries the building was the Holy Infirmary of the Order of St John. It was built in the late 16th century and has been altered many times since for new uses.
The centre has ten halls and nine syndicate rooms over 7,000 square metres. The largest hall, Republic Hall, seats 1,400 in theatre style. The smallest, La Cassiere, takes 60.
