The harvest at the Xwejni salt pans

Colours of Malta takes incentive groups to Gozo, Malta’s sister island, by private speedboat, yacht or schooner, and rarely by the public ferry.

It has set up the Xwejni salt pans on Gozo’s north coast for an incentive group of 300.

Getting there

Private boats
For incentive groups, Colours of Malta arranges private transfers to Gozo by speedboat, yacht or schooner. It rarely uses the public ferry.
Public ferry
The Gozo Channel ferry crosses from Ċirkewwa, at Malta’s northern tip, to Mġarr in about 25 minutes. It runs around the clock, every 15 to 45 minutes by day and at least hourly at night.
Coaches
Coaches cross on the Gozo Channel ferry. The ferry takes no reservations, so vehicles board in the order they arrive.
Fast ferry
Gozo Highspeed sails from Valletta to Mġarr in about 45 minutes, 14 times a day all year, with extra sailings late in the evening. It carries foot passengers only, about 300 on each of its two catamarans.
From Sliema
Since May 2026 the fast ferry also sails from Sliema, by way of Buġibba, in about 1 hour 15 minutes.
By road
Visit Gozo advises allowing about an hour from the airport to Ċirkewwa.
By air
No helicopter or seaplane service runs between Malta and Gozo in 2026.

Dwejra

Comino and the Blue Lagoon
Boats from Mġarr take about 15 minutes. Groups arriving by boat book a free time slot in advance, and no more than 4,000 people may be at the Blue Lagoon at once.
Ramla Bay
