Gifts from Maltese makers

We build a working artisan market in place of a room drop. The stalls are run by the makers themselves, with hand-loom weaving, Mdina Glass, silver filigree, ceramics and nougat. Each guest receives a token and chooses a piece directly from the maker.

Hotels for incentive groups

The InterContinental and voco Malta are joined by a bridge and sold as one hotel, so a group of up to 649 rooms can stay together. That keeps everyone in one place and makes hospitality suites and late-night bars possible. Larger groups use two hotels close together.

649 rooms in one hotel

Five-star resorts
Large seafront properties in St Julian's, St George's Bay and Sliema with their own ballrooms, pool decks and beach clubs. The default choice for groups of 150 and above.
Valletta boutique
Converted palazzos and townhouse hotels inside the walls of the capital. Right for senior groups and for programmes that want guests walking to dinner.
Gozo & rural
Farmhouse and estate properties on the second island, reached by a 25-minute ferry. Suited to smaller groups and to split-stay programmes.

Incentive travel in Malta: common questions

How many guests can Malta handle for an incentive programme?

A group of up to 649 rooms can stay in one property, the InterContinental and voco Malta, which are joined by a bridge and sold as one hotel. Larger groups use two hotels close together. The Sacra Infermeria seats around 1,400; the limit is hotel room blocks.

When is the best time of year for an incentive trip to Malta?

April to June and September to November. Both windows give warm evenings for outdoor events, comfortable daytime temperatures for activity programmes and better rates than peak summer. July and August are hot at 30–35°C and busy with leisure demand; December to March is good value but should be planned indoor-led.

How do US groups get to Malta?

Delta flies nonstop from New York (JFK) three times a week from June to October, about nine and a half hours. From elsewhere in the US, groups connect once through a European hub such as London, Frankfurt, Zurich, Munich, Rome or Istanbul. Colours of Malta builds transfer schedules backwards from your flight manifest and staffs the airport until the last guest is through.

Is English spoken in Malta?

Yes. English is an official language of Malta alongside Maltese, and it is the working language for contracts, permits, hotel operations, guiding and emergency services.

How far in advance should we book?

Nine to eighteen months secures first-choice hotel inventory and historic venues, particularly for the April–June and September–November windows. Colours of Malta has also contracted and delivered full programmes in ten weeks. Ask early and we will tell you what is still available for your dates.

How much does an incentive trip to Malta cost?

Colours of Malta does not publish prices, because the cost depends on the dates, the group size, the hotel and the venues. Send those to incentives@com.com.mt. A senior planner replies the same day, usually with available hotels, venue options for your dates and an indicative cost per head.

Can historic venues really be taken for private use?

Yes. Palaces, star forts, bastion gardens, gun batteries and cathedrals can all be hired for exclusive evening use. None are standard event hire, so each needs negotiated access, a permit file and an approved build plan, and heritage conditions govern what can be rigged, where power runs and how late music can play. Colours of Malta holds these relationships directly and secures availability before a programme is contracted.

What happens if the weather turns?

Every outdoor event Colours of Malta contracts carries an indoor alternative with its own floor plan and agreed pricing, held until the day of the event. You approve both at contracting stage, so there is nothing to negotiate on the day.

How do we contract with you?

Directly with Colours of Malta in Sliema. Quotes are in euro with Maltese VAT shown separately, and public liability certificates are issued with the proposal.

Send us your group size, dates and budget.
