The Grand Hotel Excelsior is situated adjacent to the magnificent sixteenth century bastions of Valletta, the Maltese capital, a UNESCO World Heritage City. A couple of minutes on foot bring you to the gates of Valletta, a city brimming with culture, noble architecture and priceless art.
The Hotel provides stunning views of Marsamxett Harbour and Manoel Island from its location by the edge of the sea. Its central position allows for easy travel to all parts of the islands.

The Grand Hotel Excelsior is complimented by our exclusive Royal and Presidential Suites offering ‘to die for’ luxury amongst the bustle of our popular resort.
We promise every guest the luxury, comfort and superior service standards that you would expect from a luxury 5-star. Naturally we extend that service philosophy to each and every corporate delegate. Our purpose-built conference and banqueting facilities seat 1,000 delegates with 4,026 square metres of delegate space and thirteen separate venue formats to choose from.
For larger conferences the Excelsior, in association with the Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC), holds a further 2,300 seated delegates and is spread across 10 halls of over 7,000 square metres with venues for every possible hospitality format. In fact, the building that now houses the MCC was the famous 16th-century Sacra Infermeria or Holy Infirmary of the Knights of St. John restored to its original glory.

The Excelsior believes that dining should always be a pleasure. We feel that every item which we serve should be healthy, colourful, and delicious to eat, and we bring a splendid range of cuisine from across the world to our residents and non-residents alike.
Continental and British dishes are all there for your enjoyment, but we also present spicy and exotic food from many countries, including Asia and the West Indies. Understandably we intend to specialise in seafood, without losing our focus on all the classic meals. Every dish is important to us.
We have many vegetarian items available, and with a little notice we can cater for any special requirements which you may request from us. Whether it is light snack food or the ultimate in haute cuisine, our dishes will be lovingly-prepared and presented to you in style.
