The Phoenicia Malta is a five-star hotel on The Mall in Floriana, at the entrance to Valletta. The art deco building was designed by the Scottish architect William Binnie and opened in 1947. It reopened in 2017 after a €15 million restoration and stands in seven acres of gardens, with an infinity pool below the 16th-century bastions and a 1,200 m² spa built around a fortification wall from the Knights’ period.
